As CEO and project manager, I led the creation, expansion, and consolidation of Roraima Net, an internet service provider in Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela. The project consisted of the design and implementation of high-coverage MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) networks, with the aim of providing reliable connectivity to residential, corporate and institutional customers.
Role and Contributions
Strategic and operational management of the company.
Design and deployment of telecommunications infrastructure, including fibre optics, radio links and GPON technology.
Management of more than 20 employees and coordination of technical and financial resources.
Negotiation and execution of contracts with corporate clients and international NGOs such as UNICEF and UNHCR.
Supervision of all phases: planning, implementation, quality control, and support.
Results and Impact
120% growth in customer base in 4 years.
Over 500 customers connected at regional and national level.
Customer satisfaction above 90%.
MAN networks deployed with coverage of up to 600 km², extending high-speed internet to multiple communities.
